Wow, I'm starting a blog! I guess it's a bit like starting a new life.. it all starts from the beginning. So I guess I'll start this from the beginning, i.e. why I have a blog in the first place.
A good old mate, Shagufta Khadija Mohammad http://vagabond-whimsy.blogspot.com/ started a blog, and we were all amazed at how much it holds. Offcourse, I am still waiting for her to mention me in her blog; she'll get there soon enough I hope.. after she talks about her grapefruit perhaps..
Following this, was Shagufa Salma Mohammad, creating a blog http://ipersonally.blogspot.com/. Naturally all this blog talk will intrigue you, and you would want one too! So I did want one, but I was unsure. I couldn't not follow one of my best, and my oldest friends!? Alas! I was asked to make one as well, but did I want to create one now?
Last night, I realised, if I didn't have a blog, I should atleast put my memories somewhere. Going through your past is always interesting, as much as we may want to forget some of the things that have happened! So I walked into my room, and almost instantly started looking for a spare book in which I could spill my mind!
What I came across, however, was far more interesting! Looking through old school exercise books, I came across notes, scribbles to friends, and even that silly MATCH game that, yes, we all played.
The most thrilling read, however, had to be the short 5 page diary entry I had written upon returning from Saudi Arabia. That stupid smile of mine spread across my face; yes you would laugh too if you had read what I had written, it was that childish! But the best part was, it brought back a memory, and it most definitely created some sort of an empty pit in my stomach, because that was me. As much as I didn't want to believe it, it was.
Who says diary entries are gay? I say, they're the best thing that ever existed!
And that's why I have created a blog. This is how it starts, let's see where it goes from here.
